Bio

Marti Yoder is an English teacher at Red Lion Area Senior High School. This year, she is teaching English I, English II, and British Literature. She has been teaching in the district since 1999 in various positions including a 7^th and 8^th grade Language Arts teacher, elementary and junior high gifted support teacher, and high school English teacher. During her tenure in Red Lion, Marti has served as a supervising teacher for student teachers and has written English curriculum at the junior high and senior high levels. Prior to working in Red Lion, she worked as an intermediate school teacher in the Harrisburg City School District.

Marti received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a secondary teaching certificate from Shippensburg University. During her teaching career, she earned her Master’s of Science in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State University. Beyond her Master’s Degree, she has completed well over 100 additional college credits to supplement her learning about teaching.

In her free time, Marti enjoys spending time with her husband and  daughter. She enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and traveling.
