Ms. Laura DeLawder- BIO

Ms. Laura DeLawder has been a dedicated science teacher at Red Lion Area High School for the past 19 years. She currently teaches College Prep Biology and Co-taught Comprehensive Biology. Beyond her classroom duties, Ms. DeLawder coordinates the STEAM Ahead Program and the STEAM Internship Program. She also serves as a mentor for the Chief Science Officer Program, guiding students in their scientific and STEAM-based pursuits while developing STEAM Programs and opportunities for the Red Lion Area School District.

Throughout her career, Ms. DeLawder has taught a diverse array of subjects, including Inclusion Science and Technology, Science and Technology, General Science, Chemistry, Kingdoms of Life, and Anatomy and Physiology. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in Physical Therapy from Villa Julie College (MD) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from York College of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Ms. DeLawder has earned a Master’s degree in Science Education and pursued further graduate studies at Carlow University and the University of Phoenix. Most recently, she received a STEM Letter of Endorsement from Wilkes University.
