Ms. Laura DeLawder- BIO

Ms. Laura DeLawder has been a dedicated member of the Red Lion Area High School faculty for the past 18 years, where she teaches Biology and serves as the Internship Mentor for the district’s K–12 STEAM Outreach Program. She is the founder of STEAM Ahead, a district-wide initiative that introduces all second-grade students to engaging, hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

Throughout her tenure, Ms. DeLawder has taught a wide range of courses, including Inclusion Science and Technology, Science and Technology, General Science, Chemistry, Kingdoms of Life, and Anatomy and Physiology.

She holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology with a concentration in Physical Therapy from Villa Julie College (MD) and in Secondary Education from York College of Pennsylvania. She later earned her Master of Science in Science Education from Lebanon Valley College and further enhanced her professional expertise by completing the STEM Letter of Endorsement at Wilkes University.
