About Mrs. Mahoney

Mrs. Melissa Mahoney-Anderson is currently a Biology, Genetics, and Introduction to Science teacher at the Senior High. She began her career at North Caroline High School [Ridgely, MD] as a 9th grade Biology teacher, where she met her now husband and fellow teacher. She later moved Columbia Borough High School when her husband relocated to Dallastown Area Middle School. She joined the Red Lion Area School District to continue teaching biology.  Mrs. Mahoney-Anderson is alsoGoogle for Education certified trainer.

 

Mel lives in the District with her husband, Brooks, her daughter Rue Elise, their three Pomsky's -Appa, Bumi, and Ursa, three axolotls -Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, and turtle Korra. 

When she is not teaching she can be found supporting students at different events, hanging out with her family, or reading a book.
