biography

Mrs. Briese is a proud member of the Red Lion Area Senior High School World Language Department.  She earned a B.S in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  She also has a M. Ed. in teaching and curriculum from Penn State.  She has traveled to Spain and participated in a study abroad program in Mexico.  In 1994, Mrs. Briese began teaching Spanish in Virginia.  She has also taught in Maryland before returning to her alma mater in 2003.  She currently teaches Spanish I and II.

     The World Language Department strives to provide a unique learning experience that not only focuses on language but also culture.  Even though three separate languages are taught, the department enjoys working cooperatively to share ideas and best practices of foreign language teaching strategies.  The mission of the World Language Department is to encourage multicultural communication and prepare students to thrive in a global society.
