The 2019-20 School year is Mrs. Smith's 33rd year in public education. Mrs. Smith grew up in the Finger Lakes Region of Central New York. Mrs. Smith attended and graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Special Education. Mrs. Smith began her career teaching special education at the secondary level. Mrs. Smith taught in New Jersey, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. While teaching, Mrs. Smith earned her Master of Science Degree in School Administration from McDaniel College in Western Maryland.
Mrs. Smith has been in the Red Lion Area School District since 2001 and is starting her sixth year as assistant principal at the senior high school. Mrs. Smith is the assistant principal for students with last names that begin with the letters P through Z as well as students who are assigned to the Red Lion Academy. Mrs. Smith truly enjoys working with students and staff.
Mrs. Smith is married and the mother of two grown daughters. Both of Mrs. Smith's daughters live in Nashville, Tennessee and Mrs. Smith loves traveling to visit them. Mrs. Smith is an avid reader, enjoys golfing and attending Red Lion sports and events.
