About the teacher

Mrs. Carol Kelkis teaches English III, Communications, and Journalism I, II and III.  A graduate of Millersville University with a B.S. Ed. in English, Mrs. Kelkis also holds a Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State University.  She is an avid fan of news and newspapers, and has been designated by the national Journalism Education Association as a Certified Journalism Educator. She advises the school newspaper, The Leonid, which is produced in print, online and also has a social media presence.

Outside of school, Mrs. Kelkis enjoys travelling around the county, biking, and spending time with her husband and friends. She loves live music and can be found supporting her son's bands, Benny Okay and Coal, at venues around the region.
