Biography

¡Hola!

 

Mrs. Ludwig has been teaching Spanish I and Spanish II since 2006. Prior to teaching, she graduated from Red Lion in 2002.  She then studied Spanish at Millersville and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education- Spanish and a minor in athletic coaching in 2006. While at Millersville she spent time studying abroad in Costa Rica.  Mrs. Ludwig also obtained a Master’s Degree in Teaching and the Curriculum in 2009 from Penn State University.

 

During her time at Red Lion, Mrs. Ludwig coached the 9th grade girls’ basketball team for 10 years and also coached track and field for 7 years at both the Varsity and junior high levels.  She was one of the co-advisors for the class of 2012, the class of 2015 and for the current class of 2018.

 

Outside of school Mrs. Ludwig loves spending time with her husband and two children, Lincoln and London. She also loves to read, watch movies, play outside, visit new places and travel. She has been to Costa Rica, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Spain, Italy, France and England and can’t wait to add more to her list! Being able to explore other countries, see new things and meet new people is one of the world’s greatest gifts and she encourages any and all who are able to travel to do so!

 

Mrs. Ludwig is proud to be part of the Red Lion Area School District, community and the Red Lion Senior High foreign language department. The Foreign Language Department strives to provide a unique learning experience that not only focuses on language but also culture.  Even though four separate languages are taught, the department enjoys working cooperatively to share ideas and best practices of foreign language teaching strategies.  The mission of the Foreign Language Department is to encourage multicultural communication and prepare students to thrive in a global society.
